As I have mentioned in my latest post, for the last 2 or 3 months I’ve been struggling with grainy skin, known as “chicken skin.” My forehead, chin, and neck really started to resemble the look and feel of chicken skin and it wasn’t something for me to laugh about.
Wearing make-up would only emphasise it. I started researching this topic and found that products with either AHAs or BHAs might help. I came to realise that when it comes to BHA (salicylic acid), there was a product I used to use in the past and which I loved.
It was the suki Bio-Active Purifying Face Serum (£46.50). I can’t even remember how many bottles I’ve used throughout the years but I do remember that it always made my skin look its best. Last year when I ran out of it I decided not to repurchase it for some time foolishly thinking that it’s not that great and that I don’t need to spend so much money on a serum (or any beauty product). How wrong was I! After so many months without it my skin started to look rather dull and feel grainy in texture. I was also getting more and more spots and it was taking me days to get rid of them.
I knew that serum alone would only help to a certain degree with my goosebumps skin. So I decided to buy two more products from the range, which were suki Concentrated Clarifying Toner (£29.75) and suki Balancing Day Lotion (£31.75).
I purchased them by the end of August and only after few days of using them I noticed a massive difference in the texture of my skin. Now, after almost 3 weeks I can happily report that my skin is back to normal and my “chicken skin” is almost completely gone.
My routine with those products starts off with washing my face, applying toner with a cotton round on my T-zone mostly and my neck and giving a spritz or two at the end to leave my skin damp in order to use less serum. I apply only 1-2 drops of the serum (the serum lasts forever) on my T-zone and neck and massage it in until it’s fully absorbed. On the rest of my face I apply Pai Rosehip BioRegenerate Oil (£20) because I tend to have very dry cheeks, and then apply suki Face Cream in the morning and night cream at bedtime.
I can’t stress enough how amazing suki skincare is and how much it improved the look of my skin. I don’t even need to put make-up on my face anymore. Thank you, Suki Kramer. You rock!
Have you ever tried some suki skincare products?
