The Orange Trend For Spring

Okay, I know that in many places worldwide spring is really taking its time this year, but just because you might still not be able to rock your spring wardrobe, it doesn’t mean you can’t show that it’s spring time in terms of make-up. Orange trend has been all the rage since
spring last year and whereas pure orange doesn’t suit everyone there are different varieties that are a perfect match for anyone (read: peach). I selected such pretty products that many of you will definitely say, “That’s right up my alley.”

First up, one of the latest additions to my collection, which is BareMinerals Blush in Vintage Peach (£16.75). As the name suggests it’s not completely orange, but deliciously peachy. Peachy/coral blushes are my favourite and this one has become one of my most used cheek products recently. It has gold shimmer to it which works as a highlight once applied. Peachy/orange pigment plus shimmer equals healthy-looking, glowing cheeks that scream spring.

Next, Barry M Nail Polish in 301 Block Orange (£2.99). I find that orange nail polishes look particularly good on both pale and tanned skin and this one hits the spot when it comes to the orange trend. Just like with all BarryM nail polishes it lasts a long time without chipping and you need around two coats to get the desired effect. I feel this orange one is less opaque than other BarryM polishes I own, but I quite like the more sheer effect it gives. Also, at this price you just can’t go wrong.

Finally, Ilia Multi-Stick in I Put A Spell On You (£30). Also more peachy than orange, however once swatched it does look somewhat orange/tangerine.You can use this beauty on your cheeks, lips, and eyelids. It blends beautifully and leaves a gorgeous glow on you skin. No tools required, just your fingers. Also, it’s beneficial for your skin thanks to Vitamin E and Shea Butter. It’s ideal if you have dry skin, dry patches or lips. It definitely doesn’t settle on any dry areas. I can’t get enough of it!

I hope I convinced you to give this orange trend a go. Who knows, maybe orange will become your new favourite colour.
