First of all, I’m sorry for my 2-week absence. I’m currently in America visiting my boyfriend and well the first thing I had to do was to fight my jet-lag and after that came the most awful, non-spring like weather. It was really cold and raining EVERY SINGLE DAY for almost 2 weeks. Since the sun finally returned, so did my inspiration to write a blog post.
As I came here I couldn’t resist to do my usual venture through Whole Foods, and especially its beauty alleys and grab a few beauty pieces. By the end of my visit I’m planning to write a post about all the things I got.
One of the first things I got was Acure Pure Mint + Echinacea Stem Cell Shampoo for normal to fine/limp hair with Quinoa protein extract and Babassu Oil. What lured me to it was not only the fact that I’m already familiar with Acure and their lovely products (and prices!), but more importantly the phrase on the bottle saying INTENSE VOLUME. I’m truly a sucker for such slogans as I love nothing more than a head full of sexy, messy, voluminous looking hair. I do like sleek, perfectly blow-dried hair from time to time but nothing beats natural-looking, voluminous hair in my book. Also, I just don’t like to be bothered with styling my hair too much. But back to the shampoo. It has a gel-like texture and a pleasant minty scent due to peppermint essential oil on the ingredient list. It cleans my hair perfectly, at the same time without it feeling too squeaky clean. Instead it actually leaves my hair pretty soft, manageable, and definitely ultra shiny. After drying, my hair stays stays soft and voluminous for a long time, up until my next wash which is every 2-3 days. Also what I noticed with this shampoo is that my hair doesn’t get oily that fast. I can actually go for a good 3 days without washing my hair, I just use some dry shampoo on my roots. There is something about this water here that makes my hair oily really fast but this brilliant shampoo definitely does its job at keeping my hair clean and voluminous for days. I also love its price, only $10.99 for 354ml! Quite a bargain, eh? I will make sure to stock up on this one before I leave.
