February Favourites.

february favouritesI have a feeling as if I just wrote about my January favourites and here we are again with another monthly favourites. Once more I want to say how glad I am that this month is over, however at the same time I don’t like wishing time away. I just can’t wait for spring, okay?
As usual I have a good mix of beauty and lifestyle bits that I thoroughly enjoyed in the month of February.

01. Leahlani Skincare Bless Beauty Balm.

I can’t not place this beautiful balm as my favourite thing in February. Leahlani, the founder of Leahlani Skincare, makes her beautiful products on the north shore of Kauai. With each product you get a plethora of organic botanicals and clays, tropical fruits and organic Hawaiian nectars. You will not find anything similar to Leahlani Skincare on the market. It’s just pure magic and joy. This particular balm became my absolute favourite balm of all time. Not only does it smell heavenly, it also performs like no other. The most important thing to me is that it doesn’t contain coconut oil, which always breaks me out like crazy. With main ingredients being Argan and Camellia Oil, this balm takes skincare on another level.
It can be used both as an all over moisturiser and cleansing balm. It leaves the skin super soft and plump. Its delicious Hawaiian smell lingers for a very long time, making you feel relaxed and happy. Hopefully Leahlani makes a perfume out of it one day! I’m obsessed!

02. Greenfrog Botanic Body Wash.

This little gem was part of the LoveLula February Beauty Box.
Made with botanical soap and invigorating scent this body wash turns every morning shower into a fantastic and refreshing experience. It’s very gentle on the skin, doesn’t leave it dried out and irritated like some body washes can do. I actually previously had a hand soap by this brand in the same scent so once I saw it in the latest LoveLula Beauty Box I knew I was going to love it.
Greenfrog products are also entirely biodegradable and have minimal ecological impact. Win-win!

february favourites03. Shea Moisture Strengthen, Grow & Restore Treatment Masque.

Oh, this mask. I can talk about it for hours! But I will try to make it short and sweet.
This winter season made my hair really dry. But then again, I think I have the same issue every single winter. All the hats and heating really damage both my skin and hair. I still use and love John Masters Organics Citrus & Neroli Detangler, but this winter I was on the hunt for a good deep conditioner I could use at least once a week. After trying Shea Moisture products in the past and liking them, and hearing so many great things about this masque I had to give it a go. After just 20 minutes with it on my hair, I got the silkiest and smoothest hair in the world. I can’t remember when was the last time my hair felt so good. With great ingredients like Coconut Oil, Shea Butter and Castor Oil, this masque will tame and smooth out even the most damaged and dry hair out there. It deeply nourishes my hair, at the same time protects it from drying out. I’m suspecting I will use it often during summer months too.
A little goes a long way with this one and as it’s a pretty big jar, it’s a really great value.

04. Joy McCarthy Joyous Detox.

Having in my cookbook collection Joy’s previous bookΒ Joyous Health, and absolutely loving it I had to get her second book too right after it went on sale.
Joy is a holistic nutritionist and an absolute babe. Her upbeat personality can make anyone smile and feel motivated even on the worst day.
She also posts videos on her YouTube channelΒ and does Facebook Live every Monday.
The latest book, just like the name suggests, is all about detox. Helping your body to detoxify through healthy diet. All recipes in this book are gluten-free, dairy-free and refined sugar-free. They are simple and easy to follow and healthy, but at the same time delicious. I also love that the first part of the book, just like the previous one, is devoted to healthy lifestyle and changes that anyone can make to make their life more JOYous. Joy provides so much information without ever sounding preachy or boring. I have made multiple recipes from both of her books and they were all incredibly yummy. Highly recommended!
