In the recent years I became a true minimalist when it comes to make-up. I like to have a fresh looking face, defined eyebrows, natural looking lashes and a little bit of eyeliner sometimes. It’s funny how much of a difference a little bit of makeup can do. Not only does it make me look put together, but it also helps me feels better and be more inspired.
In order not to get bored with my minimalist everyday make-up I try to reshuffle some products and try something new every now and then. Today I thought I would share my recent everyday make-up staples.
01. Kjaer Weis Foundation in Like Porcelain.
In the past I was never a big fan of full coverage foundations because I always found them way too heavy on my skin. However with Kjaer Weis Foundation it was love at first sight. This creamy, full coverage foundation blends in like a dream and dries into semi-matte finish, which I love. What’s also great about it is that you can really adjust the amount of coverage you want to achieve by layering it, without ever looking like you’re wearing a mask.
It is expensive but a little goes a long way with this foundation. I’ve had mine for a very long time and you can see that I still have quite a bit of it left.
This is a miracle product, which can be used either on its own or with foundation. What I like to do is put it over my foundation on my cheeks, forehead and nose in place of powder bronzer. It gives the most incredible healthy glow, making you look as if you just got back from holidays.
It has a sheer, gel-like texture and blends seamlessly onto the skin. I love that it has a red tint to it which makes it look like a natural tan.
03. ILIA Multi Stick in Tenderly.
For subtly flushed cheeks I always go for this amazing stick in delicate pink shade. Perfect colour for my pale skin.
It’s yet another step in my routine that doesn’t require any brushes. Just pop it on the cheeks, blend with fingers and voila!
04. Jane Iredale PureBrow Gel in Brunette.
For lazy days when the last thing I want to do is to fill my eyebrows, I always choose this PureBrow Gel as it not only keeps my eyebrows in place, but also adds texture and colour to them. I love brushing up my eyebrows with it to make them look bushy and natural.
It’s also great to use it as the last step in full eyebrow make-up routine to set everything in place.
05. Vapour Organic Beauty Eyeliner in Truffle.
I used to wear eyeliners on a daily basis in the past and I still adore them, so when I have more time I like to do a simple no-flick eyeliner look with this beautiful pencil. In the past I always used a black pencil, but now I switched to more subtle browns, like the one by Vapour Organic Beauty. It’s a cool brown shade pencil with a super soft texture, which makes it really easy to apply and blend.
06. W3LL People Expressionist Mascara in Black.
I have a couple of favourite natural mascaras and this is definitely one of them. Thanks to its synthetic brush it separates lashes perfectly and gives a very natural look with just one layer. Created with great ingredients, like castor oil it nourishes my lashes and makes them stronger. I like to layer it sometimes for a more bold effect.
It stays on all day and doesn’t smudge, which is always a plus too.
07. Au Naturale Cosmetics Creme Shadow in Palma.
Sometimes for a little extra something, I like to use this gorgeous cream eyeshadow by Au Naturale Cosmetics. It’s a beautiful shimmery bronze colour that compliments every eye colour. Even though it has shimmer in it, it looks subtle enough to wear during the day without looking too made-up.
Looks stunning when paired with brown eyeliner and bronzed skin.
