THE (NOT SO) NEW THING: Dr. Alkaitis Organic Eye Crème

Today’s post was supposed to be on a completely different topic, but then last night I had an epiphany (oddly enough just before going to sleep. Thank you very much, brain!) that I should really share with you my slight (a little more than that) obsession with this little thing called an eye cream. Not just some eye cream though. An eye wonder in a little sample tube, Dr. Alkaitis Organic Eye Crème. Let me start with a side note that this is probably my fifth (gasp!) sample of this cream.

Why fifth already and not just a full size you may ask. Well, there are two reasons for that. First of all, I would always get it as my chosen sample from spiritbeautylounge.com whenever I was in the States and needed to get some beauty essentials. It was just so good and each sample lasted ages!
Second, its price. It’s just so bloody expensive! Especially for an eye cream. Also, does anyone know why Dr. Alkaitis’ products are different here in Europe from the ones you can get in America? I honestly have no clue.

Going back to this little lovely thing though, let me tell you why I love it so much. It’s a quite thick cream with no fragrance at all and with some great ingredients like Aloe Vera, Roman Chamomile, St John’s Wort, Green Tea, Jojoba and Rose Hip oils, and Vitamin A, C, and E! Now that’s some good concoction, eh? If you’re like me and suffer from horrendous dark circles then you will be happy to own this cream. It has light reflecting ingredients and even after the most terrible night it makes you and your eyes look like you went to sleep at 8PM and slept like a baby – yeah, right! I would recommend, however, to put a really small amount of it if you’re planning to put concealer over it as it can contribute to some unattractive creasing. If you pat it thoroughly and wait a while it shouldn’t be a problem though.

I’m currently running out of my sample (it has lasted me for almost 2 months!) and I strongly believe I won’t be able to resist this time and I will just finally order the full size. Sorry I’m not sorry.
