THE REVIEW: RMS Beauty

First of all, happy International Women’s Day! 🙂 Hope you all have a brilliant day.

Now, you may think that when it comes to organic and natural make-up, there isn’t much to choose from and even if there is, the products are probably not as good and long-lasting as their non-natural counterparts. To be honest I used to think this way too. I’m still guilty of using non-natural make-up from time to time.

Over a year ago I decided to give a natural make-up products a go. I have been using Bare Minerals foundation for years and I’ve always loved it, although this time I wanted to try something less heavy, something I could apply with my fingers on the go. I had discovered RMS Beauty earlier (BTW, Miranda Kerr is a big fan, so how can you not want to try it?), and I already had their Lip2Cheek in Smile, so I decided I should try their ‘Un’ Cover-Up concealer/foundation. I got it in shade 11 as I’m really pale and this is their lightest shade. I would say it’s somewhere between NC15-20. It matches my skin tone pretty well. I apply it with my fingers just like a face cream and spend a good few minutes on massaging it into my skin. It covers all the redness and dark spots on my skin, but at the same time it doesn’t feel heavy at all. It makes your skin looking perfect but at the same time so natural that nobody will be able to tell that you’re wearing any foundation. It has quite oily texture due to coconut oil being its main ingredient and I probably wouldn’t recommend it for those of your with oily skin unless you use a powder afterwards. Even though it has both coconut oil and Shea butter it doesn’t clog my pores and doesn’t break me out. In fact, it actually helped my dehydrated skin to get back to normal. I have combination/dry skin with tendency to get dry patches on my cheeks and after using it for over a week almost every single day, the dry patches on my skin just disappeared. I’m guessing it might also be thanks to beeswax in it, as it prevents moisture loss. After applying it, I like to powder my T-zone area with some mineral powder. It stays on my skin all day and doesn’t leave my skin oily even after many hours.

Another RMS Beauty product I own and love is their, mentioned above, Lip2Cheek multi-tasking product for your cheeks and lips. I have it in Smile, which is a gorgeous peachy/corally shade. I’m also eyeing their, I believe, new bright fuchsia shade Sublime. It has a very similar texture as the ‘Un’ Cover-Up and it is extremely pigmented. It blends in like a dream and you can layer it up until you get the desired effect. You can apply it either with your fingers or a synthetic brush both on you cheeks and lips. It leaves a beautiful sheen on the skin. It’s a perfect colour and texture for spring and summer.

The third and last RMS Beauty product I have is their Living Luminizer, which is a creamy, pearl highlighter. It is just FANTASTIC! Again, it has the same texture as mentioned above products. It gives you a gorgeous glowing skin without the disco ball effect on your face. Your face is looking radiant and healthy. Pop it on the top of your cheeks to get this gorgeous glow and make your cheekbones stand out. Use it in the corners of your eyes to make yourself looking fresh and awake, on your brow bone, your Cupid’s bow, on the bridge of your nose, your collarbones, even your legs! Dewy and chic effect guaranteed!

They aren’t cheap but it’s something that will last you for months. You can get RMS Beauty products from cultbeauty.co.uk
